Consultation & Coaching

Application Review & Strategy: Our Application Review & Strategy service partners you with one of our expert application consultants. The one-on-one service starts with your consultant reviewing your application with you to identify your strengths and weaknesses as an applicant relative to the program you are applying for. Once these are identified, the consultant then works with you to develop a strategy for leveraging your strengths to your greatest advantage and for what specific steps to take to improve in any areas of weakness.

This service is particularly valuable for applicants with red flags in their experience or qualifications, as well as for applicants who have applied to the program previously and not gotten in.

Interview Coaching: Our exceptional Interview Coaching service starts with a 30-minute consultation to get to know you as an applicant, including your strengths and weaknesses and the areas of concern you have in anticipation of the interviews. Your interview coach will provide best-practice interviewing strategies to promote your strengths, mitigate your weaknesses and answer questions in the areas of concern. This is followed by mock interviews, with each mock interview session being split between a question/answer session and a feedback session.

Editing & Proofreading

These services apply to all project types except Application Review & Strategy, Interview Coaching and Personal Statements.

Editing & Feedback: This professional editing service provides a comprehensive, detailed edit and proofread of your document together with equally comprehensive, detailed feedback. The feedback identifies any item needing improvement that goes beyond the scope of editing, covering both writing and content.

The editing is tailored to the type of document (e.g., application essay, ERAS Application, etc.) and the position being sought (e.g., law school, internal medicine residency, etc.).

The Editing & Feedback service for applicants includes two rounds of review.

Proofreading: Our Proofreading service provides detailed professional proofreading only (e.g., spelling and typographical errors). It does not include editing or feedback.

The proofreading is tailored to the type of document (e.g., CV/resume, MSPE, etc.) with consideration for the position being sought.

Personal Statements

We offer four proprietary services for Personal Statements.

PS Development: Our professional PS Development service is for those who want expert, one-on-one guidance for developing their personal statement. It is for those who have written a draft they are unsure about or for those who have only a few ideas or notes, as well as those who don’t know where to start with their personal statement.

With PS Development, we will work one-on-one with you through multiple rounds of development, revision, editing and proofreading to arrive at a finalized, polished personal statement ready for your application.

PS Revision & Critique: Our most popular service for personal statements, PS Revision & Critique service offers much more than simply editing your personal statement. It is a five-round service that provides a comprehensive, detailed edit and revision of your personal statement together with equally comprehensive, detailed feedback.

PS Evaluation: With PS Evaluation, we will provide a thorough evaluation of your personal statement, assessing its strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities for improving the personal statement both in writing (e.g., need for a better tone) and content (e.g., need for details).

PS Evaluation does not include revision, editing or proofreading of your personal statement.

PS Proofreading: With PS Proofreading, we will provide proofreading and light editing to correct and improve your personal statement.

PS Proofreading does not include any feedback nor detailed editing or revision, including to improve the length of your personal statement.

How Our Service Works

Step 1: Get Started

Whether you’re just looking for a free instant quote or are ready to purchase our services, start with Get Started, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:

  1. Under Select Your Category, choose Applicants.

  2. Next, select your project type (e.g., Personal Statement), additional details (e.g., program type) and service (e.g., PS Revision & Critique).

  3. If the service you have selected is for editing a file (e.g., PS Revision & Critique), upload your file to be edited or select the number of files to be edited.

    If the service you have selected is a consultation service not requiring a file to be edited (e.g., Interview Coaching), select the number of services.

    All our Applicants services are flat-fee services. The quotes for fee and turnaround time are calculated based on number of files or number of services.

    For files to be edited, we accept MS Word and PDF files, depending on the project type. Your word count will be automatically calculated and displayed next to your uploaded file.

    Upload your file to be edited or select the number of files to be edited or number of services to get a quote. (The option available will depend on the project type.)

  4. To finalize your quote, select Normal Delivery or Rush Delivery for the delivery option.

  5. Confirm your quote. If the service is for editing a file, to order the service, ensure you have uploaded at least one file to be edited. Add any comments, provide any other details requested (e.g., Step scores) and click Add to Cart.

    If you would like to purchase multiple services, repeat the above for each service you wish to add to the cart.

Step 2: Check out

Once you have added all the services you wish to purchase to the cart in Step 1, proceed with clicking Checkout.

In the checkout process, you will:

  1. Log in to your account or create an account if you do not already have one.

  2. Enter your goals for the service(s) you are purchasing.

  3. Verify the delivery dates for the service(s) in your order. If you are purchasing multiple services, you can customize the order in which we complete them.

  4. Complete your payment for the deposit, which is the total order amount. We must receive the total fee up front before we begin our work. We accept credit/debit cards and PayPal.

Step 3: Track Your Order in My Account

As soon as we receive your payment, we will start working on your order. While we are working on your order, the status will display as In Progress in My Account.

Step 4: Receive Your Edited Document

As soon as we have completed our work on your document or our consultation notes, you will receive an email notification, and the status of your service will be updated in My Account.

Edited documents and consultation notes are released when finished. Edited documents and consultation notes are both sent by email and made available for download directly from My Account.

The email containing your edited document(s) or consultation notes will provide the name and contact information of the editor or consultant who completed the service for you. It will provide a link to instructions on how to review our edits, including how to accept and reject track changes and to remove sidebar comments.

For services that include multiple rounds, the email will also provide a link for submitting your document(s) for the next round of review.

Editor or consultant name and contact information along with the next-round submission link will also be posted in My Account.

Step 5: Follow up With Any Questions

If after reviewing our work you have questions about the suggestions we have made, please contact your editor or consultant directly by email. You may expect to receive a response to your email within 1 business day.

If after following up with your editor or consultant, you still have questions your editor or consultant is unable to answer, feel free to email our editor in chief, David Lombardino.

Step 6: Leave Us a Review

We are passionate about helping you achieve your goals, and hope, through our work on your document or in our consultation(s) and through answering any follow-up questions, we will have helped you get one more step closer to doing so.
