David Lombardino, Founder, Editor in Chief
My love for editing grew out of a lifelong passion for reading—hours spent buried in books, discovering voices that challenged, moved, and inspired me. Whether the story is imagined or lived, I’m drawn to writing that reveals something essential about the human experience. My favorite authors span many genres, from Faulkner, Nabokov, Tolkien, and García Márquez to contemporary thinkers in business, history, and cultural commentary. Across fiction and nonfiction, what excites me most is helping writers express their ideas with clarity, depth, and authenticity. Whatever you’re working on, I’d be glad to learn more about what motivates your project and how we can shape your manuscript into its strongest form.

Hilary White
Hilary is a lifelong logophile, a lover of words and the stories they give rise to. A fantasy writer herself, the genre has a strong hold on her, but she enjoys anything that will keep her turning pages. She brings over five years of copyediting experience, including two years at an international media outlet. As a line and copy editor for fiction, Hilary remembers the rules of grammar so you don't have to, refining the text so it can reach its full potential while preserving voice and style.

Nicholas Machida
A lifelong lover of buildings who pored over castle floor plans and elevations in his youth, Nico has developed an approach to editing based on spatial thinking. Like a practical yet beautiful work of architecture, a strong manuscript has a sound foundation, a transparent structural logic, and strategically placed moments of surprise or flourish. As importantly, both buildings and manuscripts should be easily navigable and readily comprehensible, with clear markers for the user or reader of what to expect, where to go next, and how a discrete element connects to the whole.
Fiction Genres: Historical, Literary, Fantasy, AAPI, LGBTQ+
Nonfiction Genres: Autobiography/Biography, History, Cultural Studies, Education, Humanities
Lynda Dietz
Lynda has been fascinated with the written word ever since her earliest years of reading the back of the cereal box at the breakfast table. That passion has stuck around, and in 2013 she edited her first book. Since then, she’s helped authors across many genres improve their writing craft, even while pursuing specialized editing courses to improve her own. One of the biggest compliments she’s received was when an author told her, "You’re not scary, even for an editor."
Fiction Genres: Fantasy, Historical, Horror, Mystery, Romance, Sci-Fi, Thriller/Suspense, Young Adult
Nonfiction Genres: Autobiography/Biography, Parenting/Development, Self-Help
